Basics

What:  Hunter West Stake youth conference for 2012 will be a pioneer trek.  Youth will have the chance to dress in period clothing, pull handcarts and experience what life was like for Latter-Day Saint pioneers who crossed the plains more than 150 years ago.  This experience will strengthen faith and testimonies, build relationships and will also be a lot of fun.

When:  Trek will be held June 28 - 30.

Where:  We will have the opportunity to walk parts of the historic original pioneer trail through parts of Wyoming.  Participants will see Brigham's Arrow, traverse Gravel Hill and pass marked and unmarked pioneer graves including those at the Muddy River Camp.  Walking the very same trail walked by early pioneers will be a life changing experience.

Who: All youth age 14 - 18 are invited (and strongly encouraged) to participate in youth conference trek.

How Much:  The cost of trek is $30 per person (for youth as well as leaders).
